Answers for educators

1. Is this an employee position?

No. Culture Keepers serve as independent contractors, not employees. You deliver the Identity Journey™ program under contract, set your own schedule, and are responsible for your own taxes. This is purposeful work on your own terms.

2. Do I need a current teaching license?

No. Culture Keepers are typically retired or semi-retired educators. A background in classroom teaching, youth development, or related work with Black children is what matters — not an active license.

3. What does the certification and cohort fee cover?

The flat $1,000 per 8-week cohort (that's $125 per session) covers your live certification training, the certification exam, full access to the Educator Portal with every session plan and tool, your Culture Keeper credential, and delivery of one complete 8-week cohort of up to 20 children. Your weekly time commitment is typically 1 hour — 45 minutes delivering content live online, plus 15 minutes of administrative work updating the portal and sending follow-up emails.

4. How many cohorts can I run?

As many as your schedule allows. Each cohort runs 8 weeks with up to 20 children. Many Culture Keepers begin with one to learn the rhythm, then take on more.

5. Will there be other ways to earn down the road?

Yes. Cohorts 1–4 are a test-and-learn phase to prove the model. After that, we're opening a subscription-based path where Culture Keepers run their own practice, keeping their tuition beyond a low monthly platform fee. Serving as a Culture Keeper now makes you a Founding Culture Keeper — you'll get a locked-in discounted rate and get priority placement before the subscription model opens publicly.

6. Who owns the Transformation Scorecard data?

Grow Up Proud, LLC. hosts and owns all Scorecard data on a secure, separate platform. You have password-protected access to results for cohorts you personally teach. Only Grow Up Proud sends official reports to parents.

7. Can I add my own voice to the curriculum?

Yes — within it. Culture Keepers deliver the Identity Journey™ curriculum as designed, but your voice, warmth, and lived experience fill every session. The structure is fixed; the delivery is yours.

8. How many students in a cohort?

Typically - cohorts cap at 20 students
